Originally from Monroe, New York, Ben graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2011 with a BFA in Film, with concentrations in screenwriting and editing. In his senior year, he was offered a position at Prime Focus as a Data Operator where he worked for the next five years. There, he was able to hone his skills as a technician and editor, doing QC work for IFC Films, A&E, and Criterion.
Ben is also a self-taught 2D Compositor, specializing particularly in beauty work, object removal, and rotoscoping. Since 2012, he has freelanced for major clients such as Beats by Dre and Lego.
Ben came to Final Frame in 2016, combining these technical and creative skills as a graphics and online editor. His recent credits include One Child Nation, which won the U.S. Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, and The Neighbors' Window, which won the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2020 Academy Awards.
